Matt's family would like to thank all those who have supported Matt during this difficult time. Matt broke his neck in 3 places after a crash whilst practising for the upcoming Australian Mottard championships early in the week.

Matt is still waiting patiently for an operation to stabilize his broken neck and is in traction until he can have the operation. Being in traction and laying down is limiting any rehabilitation that Matt can do. It is frustrating that the Hospital just don't have enough beds in the ICU to cater for Matt's operation at present and we all are waiting day after day for a bed to come available. Matt is not stable enough to be moved to another hospital for the operation.

Matt has been receiving messages and support from around the world with many praying for a full recovery. Matt and the family would like to thank everyone who has sent messages of support and when Matt is able will try and get back to everyone of them to thank them all.

Matt remains focused and determined to walk from hospital and with the support from family, friends and supporters he will have many to help him with his journey.
